Innu-Inuit Envest
Innu-Inuit Envest is a partnership between IDLP, the Nunatsiavut Group of Companies and Envest Corp., an independent power producer. The partnership was established in 2020. Innu-Inuit Envest was formed to jointly structure, develop, finance, build, own, operate and maintain a wind generation microgrid system to displace diesel generation capacity at the Voisey's Bay mine site, which is owned and operated by Vale. The project is anticipated to significantly increase the renewable penetration of energy generation at the site to mitigate consumption of fossil fuels. The project is currently in its engineering phase.
